Hospital visits, police abuse, death of a brother was some of all they experienced during their adventure. Some go to a nice resort and stay by the pool, other people try to experience as much as possible. How to live life to the fullest and enjoy each day the two young Swedes believe is reached when you balance between life and death. The book is also about the authors childhood that was filled with abuse from both his mother and brother. He also tells his story about his addiction with sex and alcohol. From being bullied in young aged both at home and at school for his overweight and colour of his hair he never found his group. He was an outsider that screamed to be noticed. His choices in life was never like other peoples choices and he never settled down, he never felt at home. He traveled the world and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in search over what he needs, only to return home to find it. He fought his weight problems and when becoming fit started to abuse woman's to revenge his abusive mother. Robert was locked up in the drunken cell two times until he but the bottle down. Started to live a clean life and started to love him self. This is not only a book about a road trip in Africa, it is a story of many life's and stories. From being a hunter to becoming a vegan. From being a sex addict to live a life in celibate. From being overweight with a hip operation and the doctors recommendation to have a still life to becoming a marathon runner. The book also take up matters about the complexity that we all struggle with, what is good and what is bad, what is legal and what is illegal and why. This change so fast and we are even faster to blame and shame people and never give forgiveness or second chances. It has become a cancel culture and a strange and dangerous woke culture in our lifetime. Trying to understand this at the same time trying to understand where we all come from.
